Climbing For Corps

Sunday, June 24, 2012. Our Successful Summit Climb on Mt. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. After a short lunch we went on to talk about the differences in foot technique while wearing crampons. The rest of the day was spent putting on our harnesses and roping up in teams of four to practice proper climbing in a rope team. We finished off by going over some techniques for climbing with fixed ropes before heading back down to Paradise.

Wednesday, September 14, 2011. The view from the top. After walking up hill for 5 days it was a breeze coming down. The adrenaline was back and I was having less trouble getting my breath. The trip up took more than 5 hours but I made it down in about an hour. At one point I was nearly running down the side of the mountain. I wanted to keep going. Once we reached Mandara, I washed up quickly .
